After being in the states for exactly three months, Vika boarded her first plane to Ohio, where she was met by a very excited babushka and Auntie Jenn! As we turned the corner in the C-bus airport, my baby girl took off running...
Vika finally met her dedushka...and quickly realized that there were more people in Ohio who loved her dearly.
Our trip to Ohio, was full of running around town...tons of fun...and lots of lovin'!!! Let me try to highlight some of the biggies, given it's now a week after our trip (woops!! I'm finding it's getting harder and harder to keep up with the frequent blogging...so PLEASE forgive me)!! I hope all the pics will make up for the lapse time.
On Sunday, we had a shower for Vika, out at Steve and Shelly's place. There she met nearly all of her extended family...A special shout out to all of you who showered us with love!!! We love you all!!! xoxo
On Monday, Babushka, Auntie Jenn, Great Aunt Kathy, Mama and Vika all went to Mansfield for some fun at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Tuesday, was a day spent around MTV...fun at the park...visit to see Uncle Don...and dinner with great grandma and grandpa.
The week wasn't about to slow down a bit...Wednesday, was a day spent at the Cbus Zoo with Babushka, Auntie Jenn, and Vika's Alex!!
One day with Alex just wasn't enough for Vika, so she had Alex spend the night. Thursday was spent at home playing around the house, with a trip to McDs, a visit to Jackie's, coloring Easter Eggs, and ending with the MTV Middle School Talent Show where Avery performed.
Friday, was a day around town...visiting with family and friends. Vika went and spent some time with her Great Babushka and Lucky (the dog). Then that evening Jessica and Aidan came down from Cbus and we all went bowling. And no, we didnot allow the tornado sirens to stop our fun...
Saturday, Vika went on her first Easter egg hunt...and my battle to keep the candy away from Vika, was officially LOST. Yes, Babushka and Auntie Jenn, won the battle that day...but now that we're back home, Vika believes Candy is yucky! But thanks to Babushka, M&Ms are yummy!!!
We couldn't leave OHIO without visiting Ron and Jackie, one last time...SHE LOVES HER PURPLE COW, Jackie!!!
And rooting for our BUCKEYES..."Pee U, KU!! Pee U, KU!!! U STINK!!"
And then EARLY the next morning, it was back to the airport...where we said a tearful goodbye, that lasted for hours...O how my baby girl missed her Babushka!!
I'm sure I missed some things here and there...but in a nutshell, here was our first trip home to Ohio. Sorry it's a week late!! I promise I'll try to post more regularly!
